…star gazing
I have a thing for photos of the sky. Particularly the sky we don’t see on a daily basis.
Stars.
Nebulas.
Galaxies.
Stuff only the Hubble telescope is privy to seeing.
[as a child of the Universe, it only seems right, right?]
Recently, I’ve been playing with ways to use these images in my work to create that kind of sublime feeling I get when thinking about space, history, the universe, etc.
Photoshop has been a huge aid in bringing together collage ideas I’ve had swirling around in my head for a while – without storing hundreds of old magazines to cut up and glue together [as much as i'd really love to…]
These two pieces are full of colour and vibrance – so I’ve been playing with the idea of having them up for sale and available in multiple sizes [i've already been literally begged for the second one in large size prints… we'll see…]
